She was born on March 15, 1931 to Victor and Carmella (Lucarelli) DePaulis in Eveleth. Nancy was a graduate of Eveleth High School, class of 1950 and Beauty School in Virginia. On July 6, 1957, she was united in marriage to Leonard Dawson at the former Immaculate Conception Church in Eveleth. For 52 years, Nancy owned and operated Nancy's Beauty shop out of her home and was also the hairdresser for Cron-Sheehy Funeral Home for over 30 years. She was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church and their choir. Nancy enjoyed cooking, reading, playing cards, sewing club meetings and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband Leonard; children, Lance (Doreen) Dawson of Cottage Grove, MN,Dennis Dawson of Eveleth and Louise (Dan) Rodriguez of Eveleth; grandchildren, Amanda and Alex Dawson and Jackie and Daniel Rodriguez; sisters, Rose Sadar of Eveleth and Anita Honsik of Cicero, Illinois; sister-in-law, Rita DePaulis of Sandstone, MN and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Donald DePaulis and brothers-in-law, George Sadar and Joe Honsik.
