Lucy C. Keller Strickland, 91, of Campbells Creek, passed away Friday,November 28, 2008, in Meadowbrook Acres Nursing Center after a long illness. She was born at Putney, on December 21, 1916, to the late Samuel W. and Margaret (Hudnall) Keller.

She was a homemaker and a charter member of the Cinco Pilgrim Holiness Church, where she served as treasurer for more than 20 years. Mrs. Strickland was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Henry Ray Strickland, grandson David Strickland 11, five brothers, and two sisters.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Patricia Strickland of St. Albans, grandchildren, Dawn Knight, of Roane County, SSGT Mark Strickland of Fort McCoy, Wis., and great-grandchildren Stephanie Rosencrance of St. Albans, Krystal Dawn and David Nathan Strickland of Marietta, Ohio, Caitlin Danielle Strickland of Fort McCoy, Wis., and Alexis Paige Strickland, of St. Albans.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Rev. Ira Keller and the Rev. Frank Keller officiating. Burial will follow in Ward Cemetery, Ward. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
