Henry Ray Strickland, 80, of Charleston, died Feb. 15, 1995, in Heartland of Charleston Nursing Home. He was born at Acup on Blue Creek and was a lifelong resident of Kanawha County. He was a retired miner from Valley Camp Coal and a member of Cinco Wesleyan Church and the UMW.

Surviving wife, Lucy (Keller) Strickland, son, David of St. Albans, sister, Frona Elmore, of Rand, brother, Joseph B. of Glasgow, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.

Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Stevens-Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with the Rev. Denver Scarbro, the Rev. Woodrow Beard, and the Rev. Robert Leadman officiating. Burial will be in Ward Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
