Sarah was the daughter of Taylor Buker and Lucy Bishop. She married Elisha Dakins in Ontario, Canada. To this union the following children are known to have been born:
1) Daniel Dakins (1839-1922, buried in the Zearing Cemetery)
2) Emily Dakins (1861-1920, buried in the Zearing Cemetery)
3) Soloman W. Dakins (14 Dec. 1840-9 Aug 1889, buried in the Zearing Cemetery)

"Mrs. Dakins, who has been living with her son Daniel, for many years, died Friday night, of lung trouble. Mrs. Dakins was quite aged, and had long been a resident of Lincoln township. The funeral services were conducted at the Evangelical Church, Sunday morning and was very largely attended."
