She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Dr. Norman David Gardner; and paternal grandparents, Celeste Pearl and Raymond Earl McDonald. Heather attended elementary and junior high in Indianapolis, and graduated from Culver Girls Academy in 1993. She attended post-secondary school at Indiana University Bloomington, Universidad IberoAmericana in Mexico City, Grossmont College, and San Francisco State University. Heather was nicknamed "Blue" by her father because of her unforgettable blue eyes. Heather loved animals, the band Journey, her friends, and her beloved Michael Ponte. Visitation will be Thursday, March 31, 2011 from 3-6p.m. at Shirley Brothers Fishers-Castleton Chapel, 9900 Allisonville Rd., Fishers, IN, 46038, followed by a Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Heather's name to the Humane Society of Indianapolis, 7929 N.
