Baraboo News Republic Mon Feb 27, 1961 Mrs. Lydia Bittrich, 70, North Freedon, passed away Sunday afternoon at St. Mary's Ringling Hospital after a brief illness. The widow of Paul W. Bittrich, who had farmed for 46 years in the town of Freedom. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs Virgil Meyer, a grandson, a brother Harold Platt, two sisters Mrs Julius Fenske & Mrs. Oliver Clement all of Baraboo, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs Bittrich will be held on Wed afternoon at 2 at the Scheible Funeral Home with Reverend M. E. Jones officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 7-9 pm.
