Kimberly Allyson Corder (born Murray), left us to join her parents in heaven in the early morning hours of Wednesday, July 23, 2008. She was surrounded by the love and comfort of her siblings, Scott C. Molloy, Erin M. Schaefer, and Meghan A. Murray. Kimberly came into this life on April 28, 1985, and brought a special light to the family from that day onwards. She grew up in Point Loma, attending Sacred Heart Academy for elementary school and going on to graduate from USDHS in 2003. She loved to cook and hoped to go to culinary school. She also had a wonderful eye for photography and loved to hike in hills up near where she lived in Oregon to get beautiful photos of nature. Kimberly became a Paul Harris Fellow with Rotary International in 2005, in honor of her mother, a former Rotarian. Predeceased by her mother, Cynthia A. Corder, and her father, William A. Murray, she is now in the arms of those she has missed for so long. Kimberly is survived by her three siblings and her grandmother, Sophie E. Corder. The family held private funeral services in Northern California and had Kim laid to rest next to her mother. In Celebration of Kim's life, the family is holding a Memorial Service this Saturday, August 9, 2008, at Bali Hai Restaurant, 2230 Shelter Island Drive, San Diego, starting at 1:00 p.m. Instead of flowers or gifts, the family asks contributions be made in Kimberly's honor to the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Scottsdale, AZ, in hopes that others can have the same excellence of care she received there.
