Grant W. Cox, age 80, passed away Friday, March 25, 2011, from complications of CO2 poisoning. He was born October 8, 1930, in Cane Beds, Arizona, to Charles C. and Retta Stock Cox. He married Lola Lang on February 22, 1952, in St. George, Utah, they later divorced. He married Coy Torgersen, she preceded him death. He married LaRue Hale and she preceded him death.

Grant was a farmer/rancher, heavy duty equipment operator, truck driver, well driller. He lived in Cane Beds, AZ, Mexico, Fredonia, AZ, and St. George, UT. Grant enjoyed family history and temple work.

He is survived by his children, Melva (John) Boyce, DeAnna (Creig) Maynes, LaVon (Rejoice Oliphant) Cox, LaRon Cox, and Rena C. Johnson; 22 grandchildren and 41great-grandchildren; siblings, C. Chester Cox, Rita Cox, Melva (George) Spencer, Geneva Tanner, Norris (Kayleen) Cox; brother-in-law Delmer Lang. He is preceded in death by his; grandson, Curtis W. Maynes; brother, Wayne Cox; sisters, Thelma Keegan, Velda Lang and Zella O'Brien.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 28, 2011, at 11:00 am at the St. George 16th Ward Chapel, 550 E. 700 S., St. George. Friends may call Sunday, March 27, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S. Bluff St., and also Monday, from 9:30-10:30 am prior to services at the Chapel. Interment will take place in Cane Beds, Arizona.
