---Word Reached here this week of the death of Mrs. May E. Saunders, wife of the late Dr. Orr Saunders, at her home in Nampa, Idaho, October 15. The Saunders were former residents of La Plata before moving to Idaho and have a number of friends here who will be grieved to hear of her death.
---The body will be shipped to La Plata and is expected to arrive today or tomorrow and laid to rest by the side of her husband who was brought here for burial about three years ago.
---The father of Dr. Saunders, who was Theordore Saunders, with Lewis Gex, founded and named La Plata in the year of 1872.
