Mrs. E. J. White Passes Away
Hattie White, daughter of Willis and Harriet Closs Dodge, was born in the Town of York, October 1, 1878, and passed away at St. Mary's Hospital, Watertown, Tuesday, April 8, 1958 at the age of 79 years.
She was married to Elwin J. White at Marshall on February 26, 1901. They farmed together in the Town of Medina and in the Town of York.
To the union was born a son, Wayne, who preceded his mother in death; and a daughter, Ruby, Mrs. Donald Peck of Waterloo.
Mrs. White is survived by her husband; her daughter; one granddaughter, Betty, Mrs. Wayne Debbert; and three great-grandchildren, Larry, Christi and Debra Debbert.
Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock on Friday, April 11, at the Schwandt-Jones Funeral Home, with the Rev. O. L. Stanke, Waupaca, officiating.
Pallbearers were William Weihert, John Hamshire, Francis Freidel, Gust Kottwitz, James Splittgerber, and Zenno Schultz.
Relatives and friends from Chicago, Watertown, Milwaukee, Columbus, Madison, Elkhorn, Lake Geneva, Oconomowoc, and Marshall were among those from away who attended the services.
