Funeral services for Rachel Doris York, 94, will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 27, 2011, at Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Rev. William "Bill" Rustenhaven, Jr. and the Rev. William "Rusty" Rustenhaven III officiating. Burial will be in Algoma Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Ms. York died Wednesday, March 23, 2011. She was born Feb. 19, 1917, in Marshall to Richard Dowling and Bess Weaver Cato. Ms. York was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She worked at the Harrison County Sheriff's Department for many years.
Survivors include her daughters, Leana Westergaard of Waskom and Jacquelynn York of Marshall; twin brother, Richard Dowling Cato, III, of Abilene; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
