Funeral service for Phillip Walker will be 1 pm Fri, Feb 4, 2011 in the chapel of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home with Reverend Dan Corkery officiating. Interment will follow at Gorum Cemetery, Gorum, LA. The family will receive friends from 5-9 pm on Thurs, Feb 3, at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home.
Mr. Walker, 75 passed away Mon, Jan 31, 2011 in Minden, LA. He was born Feb 24, 1935 to the late Phillip Newton Walker and late Mattie Byrd Walker in Colfax, LA. He proudly served his country in the US Navy. He retired from the maintenance department for the Natchitoches Parish School District. Phillip never met a stranger, even during his illness he would try to visit with anyone he met.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Walker of Gorum; and a son, Kenneth Walker of Gorum.
In lieu of flowers the family requests Mass Tributes be made in Mr. Phillips name to the church of their choice.
