The daughter of Bartholomew Sieczka and Marianna Gal, she was born in Chicago, IL. and baptized on Aug 2, 1908 at St. John Cantius Church, however she and her parents returned to Poland shortly after. Anna subsequently came back to the United States in 1924 and lived with her uncle, Joseph Gal.
On Jan 23, 1926 at the age of 18, she married Fabian Kocanda at St. Adalbert Church in Chicago, IL. On May 5, 1984 she was laid to rest alongside her husband, who predeceased her in 1960.
