NORMAN HERBERT FRICKE
Norman H. Fricke, age 69, of rural Worthington, died Sunday, December 8, 1996, at his home. He was born January 9, 1927, in Rost Twp., Jackson Co., Mn., to his parents, Herbert C. and Minnie (Reineke) Fricke. Norman graduated from Lakefield High School in Lakefield, Minnesota in 1944. He served in the United States Army from September 12, 1946 until February 26, 1948.
Norman was united in marriage to Gladys Frodermann on July 27, 1952. Norman worked for various farmers from 1952 until 1960. They lived by Round Lake, Mn. for 36 years. He was employed at Campbell's Soup Company from April of 1960 until he retired in 1991.
Norman was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church, in Round Lake; and had served as treasurer and belonged to the church bowling team. He was also a present member of the American Legion in Round Lake. He enjoyed auction sales, fishing, visiting with his neighbors, his daily coffee and enjoyed his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Gladys, rural Worthington; sons and daughters-in-law, Allan and Delores Fricke, Worthington; Norman and Clara Fricke, Jr. Littleton, Co.; Steven and Deb Fricke, Lakefield; daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Dale Bayerkohler, New Richland; June and Randy Howard, Ocheyedan; Jane and Bob Crist, Harris; Diane and Scott Hall, Lakefield; Patricia and Steve Voss, Lakefield; Betty and Darvin DeBerg, Heron Lake; twenty-three grandchildren, Matthew, April, Brian and Kyle Bayerkohler; Reed and Shane Fricke; Todd Howard and his fiancee Sara Kruger and Tonja Howard; Stephanie (Jeff Sohn) and Brent Crist; Jason Hall and friend Bobbie Pederson, Nathan and Deanne Hall; Kirk Eriksen, Erikia (Brian) Ghumm; Mindy, Jeremy and Tiffany Fricke; Jesse, Alyssa and Cassidy Voss; Jared and Lacey DeBerg; brothers, Clinton (Marge) Fricke, St. Louis Park, Mn.; Lyle (Gladys) Fricke, Jackson, Mn.; half-brother, Robert (Lynette) Fricke, Balaton, Mn.; half-sisters, Joy (Marvin) Hohenstein, Lakefield, Mn.; June McDaniel, West Bend, Wisconsin.
