The Emanuel County native was retired from Atlantic Towing Company and was a U. S. Army WWII veteran. He was a member of Garden City Church of God and also the Boilermakers Local #26. He was dearly loved by his family.
Survivors: his wife, Nellie Ruth Deal of Port Wentworth; son, Harmon J. Deal of Port Wentworth; daughters, Donna L. Wilson of Stevenson, AL and Shirley Jean Myers of Savannah; nine grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p. m. Wednesday, July 24, at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, West Chatham Chapel in Pooler.
Funeral: 11:00 a. m. Thursday, July 25, at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, West Chatham Chapel.
Burial: Westside Memorial Gardens .
