A SUDDEN CALL

Alderman A. M. Kenyon of the First Ward
Succumbs to a Sudden Attack of Cerebral Convulsions.

A shock was felt Sunday afternoon at the report of the death of A. M. Kenyon of the First ward. Apparently well and in full health he arose Sunday morning and ate breakfast, but in only a short time he complained of sickness and by nine o'clock was taken with convulsions. These continued, affecting different parts of his body until about 12:30 when death came to relieve his suffering. Mr. Kenyon has been alderman from his ward for a number of terms, giving good satisfaction to his constituency, among which he was popular.

Aaron Mortimer Kenyon was born in Lisbon Center, New York, on December 3rd, 1849. His entire boyhood was spent in that state and came west at a later period in life. He was first married to Nettie Church, who died many years ago and on Christmas day in 1879 he married his present wife, who then was Ida Statts. To Mr. Kenyon and wife were born six children, four living to recognize the sad loss of a father.

For about twenty-five years he has been a resident of Osage, not living here continuously, moving away, but always returning to this city. Genial and kind hearted, his presence will leave a vacancy in the family and large circle of friends.

The funeral was held this afternoon from the Methodist church, under the auspices of the Odd Fellows. Rev. S.W. Heald had charge of the services.
