Loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt and niece passed away of natural causes on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Covenant Cooper. Age 22 years. The daughter of Michelle (Shea) Fila and the late Edward L. Fila Jr., Carri was born September 7, 1988 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was employed at Applebee's Restaurant on State Street. Carri belonged to the KRC Congregation. She enjoyed attending many church meetings with friends and family. Carri graduated from Heritage High School in 2006. Surviving besides her mother Shelly are two sisters and one brother, Stephenie Fila, Leslie Fila, Cameron and Justine Fila and their children, Emmaleigh and Ryann; her grandparents, Dennis and Irene Shea, Kay Ann Fila; Carri's great-grandmother, Helene Longtain; Carri's boyfriend, Jordan Shreve; several aunts, uncles, cousins, including a special uncle, Steve. Carri was preceded in death by her grandfather, Edward Fila Sr., her uncles, Carey and Kevin Fila, and by a favorite cousin, Brian. Carri was a generous and caring person, who in death, gave the gift of life to others. Carri was an anatomical donator to the Gift of Life Program. A celebration of Carri's life will take place 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the wishes of the family.
