Zelmer C. Frost, 71, of Rt. 2, Galax, Coal Creek Rd. died in a Galax hospital Mon­day, August 15. He had been In ill health for several years. He was born in Carroll County February 3, 1895 to George and Laura Bell Burcham Frost.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Hessie Belle Frost three daughters, Mrs. Iretta Thompson, Mrs. Gay Roberts and Mrs. Mae Summers, all of Galax three sons, Heath G. Frost and Eugene H. Frost, Galax, and Z. C. Frost, Bassett one step­ daughter, Mrs. Helen Winson, Houston, Tex., two step-sons,Robert Absher, Fort Benning, Ga., and R.C. Brewer, Taylor Mich. one sister, Mrs. Blan­che Jones, Galax, two brothers Wayne F. Frost, Lakeland Fla., and Arthur Frost; Galax 18 grandchildren, and one great­ grandchild. The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church by the Rev. Bradley W. Mays, the Rev. Gene Baker and the Rev. Lon­nie P. Shaw. Burial was in the Quaker Cemetery. The body rested at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home until one hour before the services.
