Ray Leland Walker, 64, a long-time Harbor resident, died yesterday in a local hospital following a long illness.
He was born April 24, 1908, in Missouri. He came to Aberdeen in 1946 from Oklahoma.
He worked as a coremaker at the Long Foundry for 20 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He married Dorothy Owen on June 1, 1929. She survives at the family home. He was a member of the AFL-CIO No. 158.
Survivors include a son, Leroy, of Cosmopolis, Washington, and a daughter; Mrs. Gene (Frances) Reed of Aberdeen; a sister, Mrs. Roy (Ruth) Hoard of Rose, Oklahoma; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Alma Walker of Hoquiam; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son.
Funeral services will be at 11a.m.tomorrow at the Fern Hill Funeral Home. Further arrangements will be announced in the funeral notice column.
