Vickie Ruth Hawkins, 57, died Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late James and Doris Smith Hawkins, she was a former employee of J.P. Stevens Taylors Plant, an employee of Walmart of Greer, a member of Duncan United Methodist Church, and an avid Gamecock fan.
Surviving are two sisters, Betty Anne Edge of Spartanburg and Jimmie Kate Moore of the home; nephews, Jamie Moore and Josh Moore; and a niece, Katie Marie Edge.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2011, at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Father Phillip Edge. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Marion Hawkins, Josh Moore, John Vingia, Ken Howard, Steve Arms, and Chris Cannon.
