WASENMILLER, Jacob A., 79, a man of
God, full of years and good works, passed to
his rest on April 29, 1967.
His life began seventy-nine years ago, over­
seas, in the country of Russia, in the German
village of Chervakowka. Born in Russia on
Dec. 1, 1888, he came to the United States
in 1909 and became an Adventist in Shattuck,
Okla.
From 1914 to 1920 he studied at Clinton
Theological Seminary in Missouri.
On Sept, 10, 1916, he married Olenda
Oblander In Shattuck, Okla. Last year they
celebrated their golden anniversary.
Mr. Wasenmiller entered the ministry in
Boston, Mass. He moved through a series of
successful German pastorates in Texas, North
Dakota, Oklahoma, Milwaukee, Chicago, New
York City, and finally Philadelphia. The
Wosenmillers retired at Berrien Springs in
1957.
Elder Wasenmiller is survived by his wife,
Olendo, of Berrien Springs; two daughters,
Elenora Marsa of Rockford, III.; and Lora
Neumann, of Berrien Springs, Mich.; a son,
Wilbur of Spokane, Wash.; a sister, Mary
Neuman, of Saginaw, Mich.; 6 grandchildren,
and several nieces and nephews,
Funeral services were conducted by Pastors
John A. Kroncke, A, W. Perrinc, and J. B.
Penner at Berrien Springs. Elder Wasenmiller
was laid to rest at Rose Hilf Cemetery.
