"Henry C. Sayers / Nov. 21, 1840 / Jan. 1, 1926 / Enlisted for three years Sept. 11, 1862 / and served until [sic] close of war June 21 / 1865. Co. G. 15th Pa. Vol. Cav. 160 Regt. of Pa. / Heard first rebel gun fired at Antietam / Fought at Battle of Stone River or / Murphysboro. Also Battle of Chickmauga / Georgia, and was in many skirmishes / of the war 1861-1865 // Clementine Rush / Sayers / May 6, 1849 / Aug. 4, 1930"
