CHICOPEE - Jung Tai "Johnny" Yee, 67, of 70 Celebration Circle, Chicopee, died August 16, 2003, surrounded by his beloved family at home. He was born in China. Johnny was the founder of Hu Ke Lau Restaurant, Chicopee, which opened on April 6, 1965. He was a member of the Chicopee Elks. Johnny is survived by his beloved wife of forty-three years, Linda (Mark) Yee; his mother; three sisters; one brother; three sons; one daughter; and eight grandchildren. The funeral will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church, Chicopee, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, South Hadley. Calling hours are Wednesday 2-9 p.m. at the Ryder Funeral Home, 33 Lamb Street, South Hadley. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the Jung Tai "Johnny" Yee Scholarship Fund, Chicopee Savings Bank, P.O Box 300, Chicopee, MA 01014, or Baystate Visiting Nurse and Hospice, 50 Maple St., Springfield, MA 01102.
