She was born November 25, 1919 in Lavaca, AR to Lacy A. and Ollie Burchfield Berkley.
She was a Registered Nurse and served at Holt Krock Clinic during her time in Fort Smith.
She is survived by one daughter, Lynn Risener of Macon, GA; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ira W. Banard.
Graveside service was Friday, March 25, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the U.S. National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
