Mrs. Margaret Kennedy, 79, widow of David D. Kennedy, died at her home in the Emmanuel section in Thomasville, Rt.2, last night at 11 pm. Funeral services will be held from the Emanuel Lutheran Church Tuesday afternoon at 2 pm with the pastor, W.C. Lyerly, presiding, assisted by Rev. T.R. Yorke, pastor of the Mt. Zion Holiness Church. A native of Davidson County, Mrs. Kennedy was a well-known and prominent resident of the Emmanuel section. She is survived by 5 sons; Robert, Julius, Everette, John F. and Bert, all of Thomasville, Rt.2; 3 daughters, Mrs. D.E. Hedrick, Thomasville, Rt.2, Mrs. E.F. Cecil and Mrs. B.F. Cecil, both of Thomasville, Rt.1; sister, Mrs. John R. Gallimore, Thomasville, and 3 brothers, J.W. and Charles Lambeth, both of Thomasville, Rt.2, and Frank Lambeth of Kansas. She is survived by 39 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Kennedy was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church.
