Jannette Mosley Welch

Jannette Mosley Welch, 64, of Orange, Texas, passed away Monday, March 21, 2011 at her residence.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 26, 2011 at King Cemetery in Hartburg, Texas. Officiating will be Brother John Fortenberry, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Deweyville, Texas. A gathering of family and friends for a time of reflection will be from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. on Saturday at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange.

Jannette was born on January 2, 1947 in Pascagoula, Mississippi to her parents, Julius L. Mosley and Eloise (Waller) Mosley, she lived in the Orange area for 55 years, she was of the Baptist faith and she was a homemaker. Jannette enjoyed flowers, being in the outdoors and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Greeting her at heaven's gate and preceding her in death are her father; her husband, Charles Ray Welch; her daughter, Veronica Lummus, her sister, Julia Shute and her grandson, Robert Alvarez. Those who will most cherish her memory are her daughters, Stephanie Hand and husband, James of Mauriceville and Virginia Juarez of Orange; her son, Charles Ray Welch, Jr. of Orange; her mother, Eloise Mosley of Hartburg; her sisters, Joyce Owens and husband, Wayne of Hernando, Florida, Janice Hardin and husband, J. R. of Deweyville, Jo Marie Shute of Orange and Joan Hogg and husband, Calvin of Orangefield; her brother, Jerry Lynn Mosley and wife, Becky of Newton; twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Jannette is also survived by numerous extended family members.

Serving as pallbearers will be John Hardin, Calvin Hogg, II, Roy Risinger, Hunter McCabe, Bobby Franks and Logan Hand. Honorary pallbearers are T. J. Hardin and Bubba Risinger. Donations are being accepted to assist the family with cost.
