JACK JENSEN DIES
Morgan Moroni (Jack) Jensen, 62, died unexpectly last Monday, October 15, of a heart attack. He had lived in the area for many years, having moved here from Mancos where he was in business and had been a logging contractor. He most recently operated the Vanadium Cafe in Naturita.
Jack Jensen was born July 24, 1894 to Soren and Patrea Jensen and spent his early childhood in Mancos. He attended high school in Salt Lake City, Utah. In 1832 he married Adela Sanchez in Gallup, NM.
Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. George Maness of Prechet, Colorado, Madeline Jensen of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Jackie Jensen of Nucla; 2 grandchildren; one brother and 2 sisters.
He was a veteran of World War I and a former member of the American Legion and Elks Lodge.
Funeral services were held Thursday, October 18, at the Congregational Church by Rev James Bull. Mrs Pat Daniels, Mrs W R Hill and Mrs Glen Hibbert sang "In the Garden" accompanied by Mrs Bob Munson. Pallbearers were Ernest Sanchez, Spence Kirk, Elba Wilson, Leo Fagan, Del Bunker, and Fred Rasmussen.
Burial was in Nucla Cemetery. Orsmsbee Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
