Scott D. Long, 44, died unexpectedly early Tuesday morning, March 22, 2011 at IU Health Goshen Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of the Goshen area.
He was born in Elkhart on January 1, 1967 to Jerry and Barbara (Conover) Long. On October 4, 2008 he married Iris Woodruff in Middlebury, she survives.
A Draftsman for Team Construction, Mr. Long attended Grace Community Church, in Goshen, and was a 1985 graduate of Elkhart Central High School.
He is survived by his parents; one daughter, Ashley (Matt) DeCamp, Huntington; two grandchildren, Caydence and Channing; and three brothers, Gary (Julie) Long, Columbus, Ohio, Mike Long, Bristol, and Mark (Tammy) Long, South Bend.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, March 24 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
An 11 a.m. funeral service will be conducted Friday, March 25, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Jeremiah Olson of Grace Community Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Bristol.
