Michael Wayne Pannell, 57, of Roanoke, passed away Monday, March 21, 2011. He was born March 5, 1954, to Percy L. Pannell Sr. and the late Elma Hubbard Pannell. He was also preceded in death by brothers, James and Allen Pannell. Survivors include his father; a son, Michael W. Saunders, of North Carolina; brothers, Percy (Janet) Pannell Jr. and George Pannell; sisters, Janie (Oscar) Reynolds, all of Roanoke and Jerri Redd, of Hampton; one grandchild, E-Nija Mary Saunders; and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held Friday, March 25, 2011, 11 a.m. at Serenity Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
