Robert Glenn Crosby graduated from Lake, Miss. High School where he played football and later took several Extension courses from Miss. State Univ. He joined the Good Hope Baptist Church and upon their move to Jackson, Miss, they joined Hillcrest Baptist Church where he was made Deacon. For business reasons they moved back to Forest, joining Forest Baptist Church. He was instrumental in forming Forest Baptist Chapel, acting as Financial Chairman during the building of the new church, and helped start the first church kindergarten in Forest. On 12 Mar 1964 their family returned to Forest Baptist Church. He was a Mason, Shriner, member of the Lion's Club, Kiwanis Club and Chamber of Commerce. He worked for Salsbury Laboratories where he won the prized "Wise Old Owl" Award in 1962 for being Top National Salesman. These words were never more appropriate than for Robert Glenn Crosby, "Judge a man not by what he did, but by what he had to overcome." He lived with sickness, having undergone 6 major operations and 1 lung operation. He started a sub-division for the colored.
