Brooke Elizabeth Edwards God Called our beloved angel, Brooke Elizabeth Edwards, 15, home Friday, March 18, 2011. She was a wonderful Christian girl who was saved by Jesus Christ. She is now rejoicing in Heaven. Brooke left our arms to be held in the arms of God. She loved her church, Gateway Baptist, and her entire church family. Brooke was born December 15, 1995, in Forsyth County, NC to Paul William and Staci Nelson Edwards. She was a freshman at Ronald Reagan High School and was in the Art Club. Brooke was preceded in death by her grandparents, Becky "Meemaw" and William Nelson. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sisters who she loved dearly, Sarah, Carly, and Anna Edwards; paternal grandparents, Janice and Charles Edwards, and her great grandmother Mary "Kack" Vogler. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday , March 24, 2011, at Calvary Baptist Church in King, NC. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 25, 2011 at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Glinard Lawson officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery in Pfafftown. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Gateway Baptist Church for the youth program, PO Box 326, Tobaccoville, NC 27050. Huff Funeral Home, in East Bend is assisting the Edwards family.
