Mr. Devilbiss, one of the oldest members of the Odd Fellows, died at his home (Poolesville) on Sunday morning.

In honor of our faithful and worthy Superintendent, we the Board of Directors of the Monocacy Cemetery Association, in assembly, wishing to show our appreciation of the true and faithful manner in which he kept the cemetery and the great interest he took in the same, resolved; that we record on the Minute Book a resolution showing our high esteem and appreciation of his loyalty to the company and the endearment which we had for him for the earnest manner in which he conducted his duties as Superintendent and in his death we recognize we have lost a good citizen from our midst as well as a useful member from our association and we bow in humble submission to the will of our Heavenly Father knowing he does all right and we trust our present loss is his eternal gain.
