Daniel Gabathuler
DAVENPORT -- Services for Daniel J. Gabathuler, 74, formerly of Davenport, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Allens Grove Cemetery, rural Dixon, Iowa.
Mr. Gabathuler died Thursday at Boscobel Area Hospital, Boscobel, Wis.
Runge Mortuary, Davenport, is in charge of arrangements.
He retired in 1977 as lieutenant guard supervisor after 30 years at Alcoa, Davenport Works. He married Marjorie Hesse in 1942 in New York City. She died in 1989.
During World War II, he served in the Army.
He was a Mason and a member of American Legion, National Audubon Society and International Philatelist Society. He also enjoyed traveling.
A memorial fund will be established.
Survivors include a sister, Bernice Woodford, Davenport; and nieces and nephews.
