Benjamin was one of eight children born to Frederick and Ellen Henson. He married Sylvia Ely on June 30 1928. She died Nov 28, 1957. He later married Sylvia Miller on July 15 1967. She died Aug. 31 1999. He had two daughters, eleven grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
