OBITUARY:

HOULTON – Nora E. Estabrook, 89, died March 20, 2011, at a local health care facility. She was born July 22, 1921, in Houlton, daughter of Gilbert and Hazel (Estey) Deveau.

Nora was a member of Houlton Band of Maliseets and member of Jehovah's Witnesses, where she was very active at the Kingdom Hall. She worked for many years alongside her husband at Ricker College.

Nora is survived by two sons, Edgar "Sonny" Gagnon and William Estabrook Jr., both of Houlton; three daughters, Sandra Murphy, Joanne Donahue and Sharon Tweedie; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Louise Deveau, Phyllis Deveau and Helen Taylor; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, William Estabrook Sr.; two sons, Murray and Michael; several brothers and her sisters.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Dunn Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery. Online guest book and condolences at wwwdunnfuneral.com.
