On Monday, August 29, 1983, at the Meridian Nursing Home, Frederick, Md., John A. Jones, [III], of Grant Place, Frederick; husband of Elsie G. Jones; father of Patricia L. Munoz; brother of Betty J. Newman, Rosalie J. Freeman, Lucille J. Sheriff and Dorothy J. Elgin. He also is survived by two grandchildren.

At the request of the family, there will be no visitation hours. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 1, at Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Rd., Barnesville, Md. Interment Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville, Md.
