Helen "Jere" G. Rittenhouse, 87, of 95 Oak Bottom Road, Quarryville, died of natural causes Sunday morning at Community Hospital of Lancaster. She had been under a physician's care. A homemaker, she was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Quarryville. She was a charter member of Salunga Auxiliary. Born in Martic Township, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Gertrude Sinclair Cramer. Her husband, Harold B. Rittenhouse, died in 1994. She is survived by three daughters, Faythe M. Brown of Peach Bottom, Betty Lou Kreider of Las Vegas and Kay Sides of Terrell, Texas; six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Martha Erb of Quarryville and Albert Barker of White River, Ariz.
