Christopher C. Gerle married Mary Clausen in Coloma, El Dorado County, CA in 1865. They had three sons and three daughters:
George C. (1866-1947)
Peter C. (1868-1871)
Charles (1870-1871)
Mary (1872-1943)
Charlotte (c1874- )
Maggie (c1878- )
Note: although Christopher Cyrus Gerle's name is on the grave marker shared with his brother, Charles William Gerle (1823-1907), it is thought that the plaque was created many years after Christopher's death and is a only memorial marker. The birth and death years for Christopher are wrong and it is thought that he is actually buried in Amador County, where he died.
