Evelyn M. Davies, of Roberts Road, Jenkins Township, died Thursday (March 28, 1996) at
Wesley Village, Jenkins Township. Born July 16, 1909, in Hughestown, she was the
daughter of the late Thomas and Eleanor Wintle George.

She graduated from West Pittston High School and was a member of the First
United Methodist Church, West Pittston, Class No. 9 United Methodist Women,
West Pittston Womens' Club, West Pittston Cambrian Club and Pittston Senior
Citizens.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Griffith J. Davies, in 1974;
brothers, Max and Howard George; and a sister, Marian Memory.

Surviving are her son, John H., Phoenix, Ariz.; daughters, Mrs. William
(Dorothy) Schlingman, Wilkes-Barre; Mrs. Joseph (Janet) Trosko, Harrisburg; a
sister, Mrs. Lillian Wylie, Elmira, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; 18
great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday from the Howell-Lussi Funeral
Home, 509 Wyoming Ave., West Pittston, with the Rev. Robert J. Herrala, her
pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Wyoming Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. until time of services
Monday.

Wyoming Ave., West Pittston, 18643.
