JAMES OLIVER APPLEMAN

Of Bakers Summit, died at his home at 3:40 o'clock yesterday afternoon after an extended illness. Mr. Appleman was born in Bakers Summit Dec. 9, 1877, a son of George H. and Susan (Pote) Appleman. He was a retired farmer. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Myrtle (Horton) Appleman, these children: Mrs. Levi Biddle, Paul H. Appleman and Mrs. George Schmerbeck, all of Bakers Summit; Mrs. Paul Kensinger of Fredericksburg, and Mrs. Hamilton Ritchey of Blue Knob; 13 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and these brothers and sisters: Harry H. and Edward E. Appleman of Bakers Summit, Mrs. Cora Garrigan of Galva, Ill., Mrs. H.O. Long of Altoona, and Charles W. of Indianapolis, Ind. He was a member of the Union Sunday school and the Woodbury grange. Friends will be received at the home after 7 o'clock this evening.

APPLELMAN--Funeral services for James Oliver Appleman of Bakers Summit will be held Sunday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock at the Holsinger Church of the Brethren in charge of Rev. W.H. Hower and Rev. B.M. Snavely. Interment in the Holsinger cemetery. Friends will be received at the home.
