ETOWAH, Dec. 28.,----George W. Bivens, 83, a retired merchant, died at his home in Biven's Town, a suburb of Etowah, at 10 p. m. Sunday. Surviving are his widow; three sons, C. H. Bivens, of Etowah; Gid Bivens, of Maryville, and Jade Bivens, of Ringgold, Ga., and one daughter, Mrs. Allen Queener, of Etowah.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a. m. at the Coghill Baptist church, conducted by the Rev. John Harris. Interment will follow in Coghill cemetery. (Obit provided by Cindy Womble Billman)
