Mrs. Anna Anderson, 73, a life-long resident of the Coal Ridge community passed away at the family home Saturday, July 20. She had been active up to the time of her death.
Born September 20, 1894 in Marion County the daughter of C. F. and Belle Viola Woodyard Blackman.
She was united in marriage on August 6, 1914 to Walter A. Anderson and the couple always made thier home at Coal Ridge.
Surviving are her husband Walter; four sons Thomas Route 3, Chariton; Lee of Para Mount, California; Lloyd, Des Moines; Ernest of Chariton; three brothers Frank Blackman Hollywood, California; William Blackman rural route Columbia, Iowa; Andrew Blackman Knoxville; three sisters Mrs. Neal (Maude) Coster New Sharon, Iowa; Mrs. C. A. (Delia) Kool Iowa City, Iowa; Mrs. R. T. (Edith) Tubbs, Knoxville. 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sone Clarence in 1964; one brother and two sisters.
Funeral servcies were held from the Bybee & Davis Funeral Home Wednesday, July 24 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. R. T. Ritzhaupt officiating with burial in Coal Ridge Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Kenneth Anderson, Robert Anderson, Gilford Franklin, Charles Bailey, Chester Blackman, John Coster.
