Cornelius (Neil) Coster passed away at his home Sunday, Oct. 21, after a long illness. He had reached the age of 80 years, 1 month, and 2 days. Funeral services were held on Tuesday at the Coal Ridge Church with the Rev. Fred Dietderich of the Knoxville Methodist Church conducting the services. Interment was in the Coal Ridge Cemetery. The Bybee and Davis Funeral Home of Knoxville had charge of the service.
Mr. Coster had been a resident of Marion County for many years and had farmed along the Des Moines River. He was united in marriage to Maude Blackman and to this union two children were born. Surviving are his wife, his son John of New Sharon and daughter Marybelle (Mrs. Wilbur Crosby) and several grandchildren.
