Rufus was the son of Charles and Sarah Ann Orkins/White Aubrey. He married Miranda J. Dodge Aubrey, daughter of Abraham and Mary M. Rhodes Dodge. They had three children, Sarah, Catherine and Rufus.

RUFUS AUBREY
OBITUARY
Residents of Fulton street and vicinity were shocked early this morning by the sudden death of Rufus Aubrey at his home, No. 19 Fulton street.
Mr. Aubrey had lived in this city only forty-eight hours, having moved here with his wife day before yesterday, taking up residence at 19 Fulton street.
Rufus Aubrey, seventy-five years old, a resident of Warrensburgh, who had been staying for a few days in Glens Falls, where his wife had been
for some time, was found dead early Friday morning in the woodshed, where he had gone for a bucket of coal. His lifeless body was found by his wife, who missed him. Death was attributed to heart disease by Coroner
Birdsall.
Besides his widow, he is survived by three children—Mrs. Fred Piper and Rufus Aubrey, of Warrensburgh, and Mrs. Fred Fuller, of Manchester, N. Y. (NH?) Three brothers and one sister also survive—Rev. Edgar E. Aubrey and Fred Aubrey, of Fort Edward; William Aubrey, of Pottersville", and Mrs. Warren B. Williams, of Moriah.
The remains were removed to this village and the funeral was held
Monday afternoon from the Methodist Episcopal church. Rev. J. C. Booth
officiating. Interment in Warrensburgh cemetery.
