10 Oct 1952 - Funeral services for Carter Jefferson Gaddis, 83, who died at 5:35 p.m. Sept. 30, at Prothro clinic, Pleasant Hill, after a long illness were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday of last week at Spring Ridge baptist church by Rev. Cecil Salley of Pleasant Hill, assisted by Rev. Clarence Byrd. Burial was under direction of Warren funeral home.
Pallbearers were Hoye Dillard, Hoy Knippers, Alton Collins, Foster Collins, Tom Cole and Melvin Carter. Surviving relatives include: sons, Sidney, of Pleasant Hill, Everett, of Marthaville, Jessie and Taylor, of Belmont; Daughters, Mrs. R. D. Midleton, of Pleasant Hill, Mrs. W. C. Nichols, of Fowler, Mrs. N. O. Aldredge, of Tallulah; 25 grandchildren and 30 great grandchild.
