William Henry Burkhart was the son of Isaac K. and Emaline B. (Tyner) Burkhart. He was born 08Aug1858 at Wildwood, Dade, Georgia, USA. He married Mary Ann Phillips on 19Jan1880, and together they had 15 children.

Their children include: William Henry Burkhart, Jr.; Nida Ann Elizabeth Burkhart Gass; Minnie Louise Burkhart Page Thorton; Charles Dexter Burkhart; Delia Ada Burkhart Gass; Daisy Edna Burkhart Boydston; Verda Elmira Burkhart Boydston; Stephen H. Burkhart; James Donald Burkhart; Dolly Burkhart Buckner; Mabel Burkhart Presley; James Claude Burkhart; Mary Ann Burkhart; and Hayward Louis Burkhart.

Gass, Mrs. Minnie Page, Mrs. C.C. Gass, Mrs. J.B. Boydston, Mrs. L. D. Boydston, Mrs. William Buckner, Mrs. Mary Womack, and Miss May Burkhart; four sons, C.D., J.C., J.D., and H.L. Burkhart; one brother, James Burkhart; two sisters, Mrs. Sallie Cross and Mrs. Sarah Johnson.

Funeral services for Mr. W. H. Burkhart, 75, who died at his home, 506 McFarland Ave., Wednesday evening, will be at the Sarah Chapel at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon.

The Rev. John Brown, assisted by the Rev. Albert Marshall, will officiate. John Barnes, Hugh Mickey, Frank Veazy, Joe Barnes, Cal Hunt, J.E. Hennessee, W.H. Womack and G.H. Gober will be pallbearers. Internment will be in the Sarah's Chapel Cemetery, Smith's in charge.
