Patricia was the daughter of Henry Joseph Gauthreaux and Gladys Christine Chaney. She was born at Fort Jackson in Columbia, South Carolina, where her father was stationed in the Army. She had two brothers, Verlon G. and Michael B. Gauthreaux.
She attended Columbia High School as a Freshman in 1956-1957, and attended Frankfurt American High School in Germany as a Sophomore in 1957-1958.
She was married three times, and was the mother of:
* Russel Rasco, b. 15 May 1959 in Frankfurt, Germany
* John Rasco, b. 14 June 1960 in Frankfurt, Germany
* Jason Rasco, b. January 1962
* Samantha Marie Devlin Graham, b. September 1966
