Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Shannon North Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Mrs. Gifford was born in Fort Worth and was a lifelong resident. She was a member of the American Poetry Society and was an avid writer to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram's Cheers and Jeers column and its Letters to the Editor.
Her husband, Leslie Gifford, died in 1981. Her son, Roy D Bailey was killed in Vietnam in 1966.
Survivors: Three sons, Edward Earl Bailey and Jack D. Bailey, both of Fort Worth and Billy Joe Bailey of Granbury; four stepsons, Charles Ray Gifford, J.R. Gifford, Richard Carlson Gifford and Leslie Leroy Gifford, all of Fort Worth; two stepdaughters, Millie Marie Bailey and Diana Lynn Gifford, both of Fort Worth; brother, Sam Martin of Fort Worth; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
