A native Houstonian, Neale graduated from Westchester High School in 1979, then earned a BSME from the University of Texas-Austin in 1983. Excellent grades allowed him entrance into engineering honor societies, Tau Beta Pi and Pi Tau Sigma. After college, Neale began a respected career in engineering that spanned 2 decades. Given his expertise in oil & gas pipelines, electric utility, & environmental engineering, Neale became the youngest vice president in the history of Duke Power, a Duke Energy company, at age 36. Because education was so important to him, he also pursued & was awarded both an MBA & MHA from Houston Baptist University. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the University of Texas-Austin's College of Engineering in Neale's memory
