Esther W. Sunderland, 86, of Sherwood, Ohio, and formerly of Fort Wayne, died Tuesday, March 5, 2002, at Hickory Creek Care Center in Hicksville. The Effingham, Ill., native worked at Hutner's in Fort Wayne as a beautician for 15 years and attended Fort Wayne Beauty College.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Jr., brothers Art, Carl and Albert Wendlin, and sisters Alice Buehrer, Lorene Schade, Luella and Melva Stein, and Milda Wendling.
Services are 1 p.m. Sunday at Rice Funeral Home, Sherwood, with calling one hour before services. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. Memorials are to the donor's choice.
